did you know that 1 liter of red bull (energy drink - 5 US$) cost twice as much as a liter of Vodka (2,5 US$)... well, I let you guess how you have to mix up the thing to save money !!!
it's been a long time :o)... well, our stay in Bariloche comes to his end... we sold our material and we'll be heading off by tomorrow... we have posted some last pictures and videos (Robert jumping the big air)...
Although we loose each around CH 1500 US dollars (if we count flight and spanish school)... Bariloche has in its own be an incredible experience... the people here in Argentina are welcoming, sympathetic and open... and their character is not far away from the southern europeans (spain, france, etc)...
of course, we struggled weekly, sometimes daily over problems which were hard to understand for us... uselessness of things... incountable (and useless) waiting... disorder in organization... (and I will never get used to it, even with great willingness)... rarely correct salaries... whatever
Best things in Bariloche :
- cheap and incredible tasty meat (barbecues, burgers, empenadas etc)
- sympatethic, welcoming people
- gorgeous nature
- powder (when the lifts are open)
- hot chocolates at "Tante Frida"
- complete burgers in "Santanas" (bread - meat - ham - egg - cheese - tomatoes/lechues - bread)... so damn good !
- we speak fluently spanish (well for me only kind of... lol...)
Worst things in Bariloche :
- interminbable waitings in the skischool
- People often say and promise things but rarely do them
- Teach "brasiliens" (you'll never understand if you haven't done it)
- 90% of teching is very first level
- a snowpark with it's own chairlift which is NEVER ready (one week in the whole season when ready are never open) and when open stuffed with people (never seen any disorder like this)
- Non funtioning installations (whenever there is powdersnow !!)
Believe me once you teached here you'll love Swiss mentality (can't wait to teach in Villars again, I promise I won't complain :o)..)
Anyway, our material is nearly all sold, the rest will cruise oversea to Switzerland... tomorrow we leave for our big adventure (our program for the next 2 weeks is charged)...
- Walewatching at Peninsula Valdes (and I dive if anyhow possible...)
- 2 days Buenos Aires Nightlife
- A nature and wildlife reserve 5h from BA
- Stunning Iguazu Falls in the middle of the Jungle
- Canyons and rocks in the north (Salta, Jujuy)
- Off to Bolivia
Bueno... hope you guys enjoy the summer... see you soon
